Hi, my name is Akia and I'm your editor ^_^

Hi all you people out there in the bloggerverse, my name is Akia and I'm going to be your editor in chief for this new way of reporting, blogging, and being a member of the "geek culture" of the world- more specifically in El Paso, TX. You may know me from a few online groups such as Itadakimasu Studios, Newtypezone, and what was previously known as The Captain M Show, as well as my blog Reader//Watcher[girl].

You could say I've been the type of geek known as "otaku" since I was in elementary school watching Sailor Moon, but I personally would say I've been this form of geek since around 2003 when a friend at the time showed me volume 2 of Tokyo Mew Mew- a manga about girls who had the genes of endangered species injected into them so they could be magical girls. This is when I discovered what manga was, and that anime was as much related to this form of comic as Harry Potter books are to the movies. Since I've collected 300+ volumes of manga, watched over 350 anime series, read many light novels, watched Japanese as well as Korean dramas plus many other otaku activities! I'm also a big fan of sci-fi and video games... you could say I'm a well rounded geek.

I guess this is the part where I tell you what Augmented Reality is. Hmmm.... well I'd say it's a combination of being a YouTube show, blog, comic strip, news source, review source, geek community and much more. If there is a virtual medium you can think of, that is probably what we are. Please have patience with us as we have members who are new to this whole thing, and others who are seasoned vets. We hope you stick with us for a while and let your reality become augmented as you discover new viewpoints in this world of geeks.

P.S. Here's a breakdown of what to expect from us and then some:
1) Convention reporting!
2) Video game, anime, movie, and various other reviews
3) Reader generated content. You won't have to be a main member of our team to submit content to the blog.
4) Various YouTube videos from our members
5) Podcasts
6) Comic strips in all sorts of styles
